Volunteers
Calvary Mater Newcastle Volunteer Service is made up of caring people from the community who give generously of their time and talents to make a special contribution to the hospital community.

All volunteers at Calvary Mater Newcastle are trained and understand the role of the hospital and its patient community. Our volunteers lend a helping hand and are there if patients, visitors, carers or staff need their help. They often provide a listening ear and a cuppa in difficult or emotional times - you can ask the nurse to contact a volunteer if you need their service. Our volunteers wear a security badge and also a large green volunteer name badge which make them identifiable.

If you would like to become a Calvary Mater Newcastle volunteer, please call the Public Affairs & Communications Unit on (02) 4014 4714.
