The Senior Administrative Officer is responsible for providing competent administrative support within the busy Medical Centre outpatient setting. This includes frontline reception duties dealing directly with patients, staff and members of the general public, billing and scheduling of appointments, registration of new patients, auditing and statistics. Multiple scheduling systems including iPM and ARIA are used to complete the work. This position provides higher level support and input across a range of administrative functions. The Senior Administrative Officer will be expected to be familiar with key responsibilities of the Office Manager and perform a supervisory role in the absence of the Office Manager. The Senior Administrative Officer will assist the Office Manager and the other team members to ensure smooth functioning of the unit.

Criteria:
Essential:
- Demonstrated ability to monitor workflow of other receptionist staff and deliver productive outputs.
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of quality and privacy in a busy health care setting.
- Excellent skills in the provision of reception & telephone customer service to patients, staff and visitors.
- Patient scheduling & billing systems experience.
- Proven ability to work independently, within a team and at a supervisory level.
- Demonstrated ability to organise a busy workload, initiate, delegate and/or complete tasks
- Demonstrated understanding of data collection and data audit procedures
- Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary with the ability and desire to uphold these principles.

Desirable:
- Working knowledge of health administrative and clinical systems.

Salary & Conditions:
In accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Health Employees Agreement, Administrative Officer (Level 4), currently $1097.70 (1st year) to $1124.10 (2nd year) per week, depending on years of service plus applicable loading and shift penalties.
