Registered Nurses are responsible for providing provision of safe, effective, and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment.

Criteria:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent demonstrated clinical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised and to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
- Commitment to the Mission, Vision and Values of Calvary with the ability and desire to uphold these principles.

Desirable:
- Post-basic qualifications and/or experience in Haematology or Oncology nursing including competence in venepuncture or cannulation.
- Chemotherapy certificate or working towards same.

Salary & Conditions:
In accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Nurses Agreement, Registered Nurse, currently $28.60 (1st Year) to $40.17 (8th Year) per hour, depending on years of service plus applicable loading and shift penalties.

Calvary Retirement Communities (CRC) is currently recruiting a new and exciting position that will play a key role in ensuring that clinical practices across the business meet and exceed regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Manager Clinical Services this broad and diverse role will see the successful applicant travelling among our services in the Hunter, Canberra and Ryde and providing guidance regarding industry best practice to our managers and clinical staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Clinical Risk and Quality Advisor is responsible for monitoring the clinical compliance and outcomes of our facilities. Key areas of focus for the role include evidenced based practice ,accreditation standards, legislation and regulations as they relate to the aged care industry.

The role functions as a key resource to clinical and care staff, consulting and collaborating in the formation and review of clinical policies and practices across Calvary Retirement Communities with a view to driving best practice clinical process and procedures in line with legislation and industry standards.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Registered Nurse with Current registration with AHPRA
- Extensive Clinical Aged Care experience
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Legislation , Accreditation and Regulations governing the Aged Care Sector
- Proven skills in collection, analysis and timely reporting of information
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team building skills and experience in change management and transfer skills for staff
- Drivers Licence
- Ability to travel to all Calvary Retirement sites on a regular basis ( Hunter, Ryde and Canberra)
