The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision and documentation of safe, effective and appropriate patient centred nursing care in a team based environment and adherence to performance indicators. The Transition to Emergency Nursing Program is a supported program that provides new employees with structured theoretical and clinical learning opportunities to facilitate a transition to a career in emergency nursing.

Criteria:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent clinical experience in acute care or emergency nursing.
- Knowledge of and willingness to work towards achieving Emergency Department Key Performance Indicators.
- Commitment to customer service.
- Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment and in periods of high demand and activity.
- Demonstrates preference and an interest in Emergency as a critical care specialty and a commitment to complete the 12 month training program.
- Commitment to the philosophy, mission and values of Little Company of Mary Health Care as it applies to the Hospital and the ability and desire to uphold these principles.

Salary & Conditions:
In accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Nurses Agreement, Registered Nurse, currently $1087.09 (1st Year) to $1526.59 (8th Year) per week, depending on years of service plus applicable loading and shift penalties.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision and documentation of safe, effective and appropriate patient care (for inpatient and/or Outreach patients) in a patient-focused environment. The position will involve an active participation in, and promotion of, palliative care as a member of the Palliative Care Team.

Criteria:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Knowledge of symptom management in Palliative Care.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.

Desirable:
- Previous experience in an acute care facility.
- Previous palliative care experience and/or appropriate post-basic certificate(s) and/or experience.
